Did You Know?
40% of Singapore's native fish species are already extinct! Luckily, they can still be found elsewhere. Many foreign species have been introduced into waters of Singapore. These fishes outcompete the native species, causing the native species to die out due to a lack of food. They may also prey on the native species!

Though the ecosystem would gradually restabilize itself after some time, the damage dealt by these foriegn species is irreversable, cutting deep at its very foundation.

We, as anglers, can all do our part to help the ecosystem. Through Catch and Release fishing, we can help to maintain the balance of fishes in our waters.
